The ultimate beginner’s guide to eyelash extensions!

CLASSIC EXTENSION SET

Classic lashes is a method where one lash extension is glued to one natural lash. This method is also known as one on one or 1:1.

Classic lashes are perfect for clients who already have a lot of lashes but want to add a little more length and thickness.

VOLUME EXTENSION SET

One of the latest trends is volume lashes. With this type of extension, your lash artist will apply 3-6 ultra lightweight lashes, fan out, to each of your own natural lashes. You can choose either you want a wispy volume set (3D, 4D) or a fuller volume set aka mega volume (5D, 6D). Volume lashes are generally made of silk or mink. A different application method is used than your traditional eyelash extensions, so expect volume lashes to take longer to apply, and to cost more.

Volume lashes are lighter, fluffier and give the client a fuller look. This technique is prefect for clients who don't have a lot of lashes, have sparse lashes, bald spots or just want a more dramatic look without having to use a thicker lash.

On the other hand, are actually lighter than classic lashes. One 3D volume fan weighs less than one classic lash extension.  Also, a lot less glue is used during the volume technique so you don't feel any weight on your eyes at all. You just see beautiful fluffy lashes.

Mega volume - The lash extensions used in this method are significantly thinner ( Usually a 0.03 diameter lash extension is used)  than the lash extensions used for the classic lash method.

This is nothing like "cluster" lashes where a chunk of lashes are glued to a bunch of your natural lashes! Cluster lashes are bad for your natural lash and will cause permanent damage.

After Care

With proper care and fills your eyelashes can last indefinitely.

  • Do not get your eyelashes wet for the first two hours.

  • Do not use a spa, sauna or pool for the first 24 hours. The extensions need that amount of time to properly bond.

  • Avoid pulling or rubbing your eyes.

  • Do not use eyelash curlers with your extensions. With proper application you will not need them.

  • ONLY use oil-free makeup remover. If your eyelashes are tangled or crossed over, use the Spoolie given to you during your appointment to gently brush them straight and put them in place.

  • Proper hygiene is very important. Please keep lashes clean by regular washing with lash shampoo.

  • Use only mascaras that are safe for eyelash extensions, no oil-based or waterproof mascaras. Only apply the mascara to the tips of your lashes.

  • After showering, avoid rubbing lashes, it best to blot them with a towel and let them air dry.

  • You can also dry the lashes by using a hair dryer on the cool setting and blowing them dry from the bottom up. It makes them curlier and fluffy.

  • Use care when applying facial and eye creams to avoid the lash line. Too many oil-based products can break down the adhesive.

  • Touch-up appointments are recommended every two to three weeks to maintain your new eyelash extensions.

* Refill appointments are required every 2-3 weeks. Due to out grown cycled lashes, anything over 4 weeks will need a New Set.
**Please arrive free of any face creams or eye makeup. Avoid any caffeinated beverages right before your service to enjoy a more relaxed experience. Please allow service time to run at least an hour/half to two hours for new sets and around an hour for refills.
